First Virginia Community Bank Promotes Michael G. Nassy to Executive Vice President

FAIRFAX, Va. – First Virginia Community Bank (FVCbank), one of the fastest-growing companies in Virginia, recently promoted Michael G. Nassy to Executive Vice President. Nassy was formerly Senior Vice President and Chief Credit Officer. 

In Nassy’s new role at FVCbank he will be responsible for the safety and soundness of the bank’s loan portfolio and supporting its managed growth.

Nassy joined FVCbank in September 2012 with more than 12 years of experience in commercial lending and commercial real estate. He was previously with City First Bank of DC and prior to that Nassy worked at National Cooperative Bank.    

Nassy currently serves on the board of directors of N Street Village, Inc., and on the advisory board of the Department of Finance at Howard University School of Business. He is active with American Bankers Association and the Risk Management Association.

Nassy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in management from St. John’s University.
