David Pijor’s Interview in iHeartMedia presents “CEOs You Should Know”

September 24, 2018

Announcer: iHeartMedia presents: “CEOs You Should Know”

Host: We’re talking with David Pijor, founder, chairman and CEO of FVCbank. How long have you been in the DMV?

David: Since law school, I came to Georgetown Law in ’74 and have never left.

Host: And the bank?

David: Only about eleven years.

Host: Describe FVCbank and your mission for us.

David: FVCbank is a very focused, commercial, business bank. We serve the needs of local, fast-growing companies that need access to capital to continue growing their businesses.

Host: How does your bank help drive the local economy?

David: Small business is the engine of growth in our economy and community banks such as ours are the fuel for that engine. We allow dreams to come true by giving business people the opportunity to create their dreams.

Host: Do you support any philanthropic causes?

David: We support a number of them through our FVCbank Cares initiative.

Host: So tell us about you.

David: My dad was a banker. Like an oldest son, frequently I wanted nothing to do with banking or even the place I grew up but, discovered in the course of practicing law, that I liked banking. I started remembering all the things my dad would tell me.

Host: What else would you like us to know?

David: Well, we’re excited to close an acquisition of our second bank, Colombo Bank. We will have branches from Baltimore all the way down to Loudoun County, Virginia.

Host: Thank you, David Pijor, founder, chairman and CEO of FVCbank. How do we learn more?

David: FVCbank.com
