David W. Pijor Chairman & Chief Executive Officer
David is the founding force and lead organizer of FVCbank. His leadership accounts for one of the fastest initial capitalization raises in the history of Virginia banks. Prior to FVCbank’s inception in 2007, he was the lead organizer of James Monroe Bank. Along with its President and serving as its Chairman of the Board and General Counsel, he guided the meteoric growth of that organization over an 8 rr period. The initial shareholders enjoyed a 10 times return in their assets over that span. David was a practicing attorney in Fairfax, Virginia with over 30 years experience in business law and transactions with an emphasis on taxation.
He’s a graduate of the University of Michigan, earning a B.A. (with honors) and a Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown Law.
Patricia A. Ferrick President
Before coming to FVCbank in 2007, Patricia was Chief Financial Officer for Potomac Bank of Virginia since 2005, taking it through its sale to Sandy Spring Bank. She also had been CFO for Southern Financial Bank until its sale to Provident Bank and then Senior Vice President for Provident for the year following the merger. She began her career as a CPA working as a bank auditor for KPMG and then a comptroller for various community banks, among them NVR Savings, First Commonwealth (both acquired), and National Cooperative Bank. Patricia’s management skills in the particularly challenging area of mergers and acquisitions have made her an invaluable member of our team and we count on the expertise that she has earned.
She holds a B.S. in Accounting from Virginia Tech and has been a licensed CPA since 1989.
B. Todd Dempsey Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer
Todd has been with the Bank since its inception and moved over from the lending/credit side of the Bank to the Operations area in 2013. He currently manages compliance, IT, deposit operations, security and facilities within the Bank’s growing footprint. A banker with 39 years of experience, prior to joining FVCbank, Todd was a Senior Vice President for United Bank in Vienna Virginia where he re-organized and supervised the business-lending group. Previously he held various officer positions with The McLean Bank, Dominion Bank, Heritage and The Business Bank, dating back to the late 70s. Todd is active in many community service and business organizations and coaches baseball and basketball for local sports associations.
He holds a B.S. from George Mason University, and is a graduate of the University of Virginia’s Virginia Banker’s School of Bank Management.
Bill Byers Executive Vice President & Chief Lending Officer
Since joining the FVCbank team in 2011, Bill has rapidly established himself as the leader of our commercial group.
Before that, he served as Senior Vice President and Community Executive for the Ashburn/Reston area for Middleburg bank. A banker with 15 years of experience, he’s worked with Wachovia and BB&T in commercial real estate finance. He serves on the board of the Loudoun County Industrial Development Authority and was the former Chairman of the greater Reston Chamber of Commerce. Bill is an avid bicycle racer and has devoted his energies to charitable foundations associated with the sport.
He earned an M.S. in Business Administration with honors and holds a B.A. in political science from Penn State.
Michael G. Nassy Executive Vice President & Chief Credit Officer
Mike is responsible for setting the credit culture for the Bank and overseeing all credit related activities including loan policies & procedures, concentration and stress testing, loan administration and ALLL. In addition, he is directly charged with managing the safety and soundness of the loan portfolio. He has served in various commercial lending and credit roles and has over 18 years’ experience. He is very active in his community and sits on several boards and committees for institutions such as N Street Village and The Risk Management Association (RMA). He holds a B.S. in management from St. John’s University.
Jennifer L. Deacon Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer
Jennifer brings over 20 years of community banking experience to FVCbank with a focus on accounting and finance. She most recently served as Executive Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer and Corporate Secretary with Cardinal Bank. Jennifer helped form Cardinal Bank in 1998 and grew the bank to over $4.2 billion in total assets. Prior to Cardinal Bank, she worked in the accounting departments at George Mason Bank and Patriot National Bank.
Jennifer holds a master’s degree in business administration and Bachelor of Science in accounting from George Mason University. She is a certified public accountant and a graduate of the Virginia Bankers Association School of Bank Management and the VBA Executive Leadership Institute. As a member of the Kiwanis Club of Fairfax, Jennifer has served on the organization’s board of directors for over 10 years.
Sharon L. Jackson Executive Vice President & Chief Deposit Officer
Sharon joined FVCbank in February, 2016 and leads the retail, business development and cash management teams. Her focus is to expand the Bank’s relationships by growing the deposits for both retail and commercial customers. Throughout her 30-year banking career, she has held various positions with Virginia financial institutions, most recently serving as Executive Vice President, Director of Business Development for MainStreet Bank. In addition, Sharon supports the Bank’s marketing efforts.
Sharon currently serves on the board of directors of the Central Fairfax Chamber of Commerce, and on the board of Foundation Fighting Blindness. Sharon is a graduate of University of Virginia Bankers School of Bank Management and ICBA Executive Leadership Program.
Gilbert F. Kennedy Executive Vice President & Market President
Gilbert F. Kennedy, III started his career with FVCbank in 2018 as Executive Vice President, Market President. Previously, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Colombo Bank for six years, before it was acquired by FVCbank. Gil is a 37-year veteran of the banking industry. Prior to joining Colombo Bank, Gil served as Chief Special Asset Officer of Essex Bank, where he was instrumental in Essex Bank’s efforts to be relieved of their written agreement with the Federal Reserve. Throughout his banking career, Gil has held senior level positions at Bay National Bank, Susquehanna Bank, Provident Bank and Signet Bank. Gil is knowledgeable in all aspects of commercial and real estate lending, equipment finance, and problem asset resolution work. His vast experience and knowledge makes Gil an essential member of FVCbank team.
